Code Enforcement Officer
(301) 773-2100, ext. 35

The Code Enforcement Officers survey the City on a regular basis to determine compliance with City Codes.  The goal of the office is to work with residents and property owners to insure compliance with the Codes.

The staff are charged with enforcing property standards adopted by the City Council in the City Code.  They conduct curbside surveys in the city, and respond to concerns brought to their attention.  The officers issue field correction notices, work with residents to find solutions to code related problems, and write municipal infractions when violations persist.

The goal of the office is to ensure the cooperation and assistance of all residents and property owners that is needed to maintain Glenarden's highest standards. Residents may call (301) 773-2100, extension 28 to speak with a Code Enforcement Officer about problems or concerns in the community.
