PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY HOSTS MASS MEDIA, CYBERSECURITY AND DRONE WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH
LARGO, MD – Prince George’s County, in partnership with the Minority Tech Foundation, is hosting a two-week Mass Media & Cybersecurity Workshop through the Alsobrooks Summer Passport Experience. On Thursday, July 15, Summer Passport Experience partner Minority Tech Foundation will be collaborating with Building Momentum to conduct drone simulations and show students 3D-printed drones while diving into the engineering aspects of drone technology. The overall goal of the workshop is to build workforce development skills and career paths for Prince George’s County youth.
The Alsobrooks Summer Passport Experience was launched on June 28, 2021, providing young people ages 12-18 throughout the County a variety of safe and fun activities to choose from this summer. Activities offered are based upon the 3 E’s: Education, Entrepreneurship, and Entertainment.
