Community Happenings: July 2022 - Summer Meal Program for Youth, PGCMLS Workforce and Community Development Resources, Primary Elections: Vote by Mail, Drop Boxes & More
During the summer or extended school closures, Maryland schools participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as Summer Meals Program. It’s a federally-funded program administered by the state of Maryland to help serve free, healthy meals during summer break. This year's program will begin on June 27, 2022 through August 12, 2022. Program locations within the City of Glenarden are as followed:

Butterfly Project Luncheon
As part of the Butterfly Project, the Library hosts a free monthly luncheon to share healthy food, good conversation with good people, and important resources for surviving and thriving. This safe, affirming space is especially designed for trans women of color.
