CITY OF GLENARDEN NOTICE: Sidewalk Construction

Dear Glenarden Residents,

We want to notify you of the upcoming sidewalk repair work that will be taking place throughout the City of Glenarden. With the approval of resolution R-30-2022 on May 9th, the City Council has authorized the City Administration to follow through with a contract with Lanham Construction Inc. Lanham Construction has been authorized by the City Administration to complete ADA ramp installations and sidewalk repairs throughout the City of Glenarden. With this construction, over 10,000 Sqft of new concrete will replace sidewalks in areas designated by the City as hazardous to public safety. The City will also be installing over 50 different ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps throughout the City of Glenarden.   

The construction is scheduled to last between 5 and 6 weeks starting Monday, August 22, 2022. Construction will only take place during business days Monday through Friday and during business hours 9am to 5pm. SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION LOCATIONS

The City of Glenarden sidewalk construction is set to begin on August 22, 2022. Construction in some areas could start as early as 8:00 AM. The following location are scheduled for replacement:

  • Dellwood Avenue
  • Johnson Court
  • Wesley Street
  • Irvin Avenue
  • Glenarden Parkway
  • McLain Street
  • Reed Street
