Education

Education

Education is a top priority in the City of Glenarden and our public and private schools are competitive with any in the county and state. Strong leadership in the schools, high standards and expectations in the community, and great parental involvement are the keys to the success of these schools.

Public schools in the City of Glenarden are run by the Prince George’s County School System (www.pgcps.org). The majority of these schools – elementary, middle, and high school – have consistently achieved yearly progress. Glenarden supports local schools both public and private through a variety of programs that encourage young people to be the next generation of leaders, and to recognize educators in Glenarden schools for their dedication, innovation, and commitment to their students.
