President Joseph R. Biden has ordered the United States Flag lowered to half-staff from midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (flown at half-staff for the entire 24-hour period of Wednesday, December 7, 2022). 
This action commemorates those Americans who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag is lowered to half-staff. No flag may fly higher than the United States flag.

This is to pay respect to United States Representative Donald McEachin from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Representative McEachin passed away yesterday, Monday, November 28, 2022. The United States Flag and Maryland Flag shall be raised to full staff at sunset Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the day of interment for Firefighter Juan Wilson of the Baltimore City Fire Department, who died on Sunday, October 30, 2022, after suffering a medical emergency while in the line of duty on September 19, 2022.

This is to advise that Governor Larry Hogan ordered the United States Flag and Maryland Flag lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff at sunset on the day of interment (not yet known). This action is in honor of Firefighter Juan Wilson of the Baltimore City Fire Department, who died yesterday, Sunday, October 30, 2022, after suffering a medical emergency while in the line of duty on September 19, 2022.

Per Public Law 107-51 (passed by the 107th United States Congress), the United States Flag is to be flown at half-staff each year in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This year, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service will occur on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Therefore, the United States Flag shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset, Sunday, October 9, 2022.
